Killing Two Birds is a challenge in Death Wish Mode and is the second EX boss battle. It's time to prepare for trouble and make it double as both directors want to kill you this time!

Level[]

Main Challenge[]

In this Death Wish, the player must power through the Battle of the Birds boss fight again, but with both of the directors at once. This causes the battle to be much more chaotic, with attacks overlapping each other, causing them to be nearly impossible to dodge.

Bonus Challenges[]

In the second part of the fight, the directors will strap a bomb on Hat Kid, requiring her to try to win the fight faster, and with this bonus, she must be even faster, having to win the battle with 100 or more seconds left on the clock. With the second bonus, the player must be more careful with attacking, as they can only attack one director until he dies, which is easier said than done. When there is two enemies attacking you, it is hard to dodge one director and not accidentally hit them while focusing on the other director.

Peace and Tranquility[]

Pon Cost: Pons x77

Peace and Tranquility for this level can be enabled to make the level easier after a few deaths from the player. Enabling Peace and Tranquility will provide you with regular healing. Like for all Death Wishes with Peace and Tranquility, simply completing the level will give you all three stamps.

Trivia[]

  • If you enable god mode through the developer console and run out of time during the bomb phase, the bomb doesn't kill you! You can still defeat the directors this way (albeit, it is admittedly cheap and you can only cheat during Peace And Tranquility mode)!
  • The directors do not, strictly speaking, have a set amount of HP, and are instead coded to have multiple "phases". Dealing enough damage to any one director will cause both directors to begin the next phase, even if one director is completely undamaged.
    • This will greatly help during the "Only attack one director until the very end" bonus challenge, as whichever director the player finishes off second will only go down in five hits instead of the full 29.
  • At launch, this was the only boss fight in Death Wish Mode that uses its own unique track. The other fights use Seal the Deal (the instrumental) while this one has its own track (aptly named Killing Two Birds also).
    • Bizarrely, Seal the Deal (the Death Wish) also has Killing Two Birds (the instrumental) as its theme throughout every fight.
    • The exception to the above is Mustache Girl EX, who features a unique track (simply called "Mustache Girl EX") when the fight switches to the Hyper Zone.
