Contractual Obligations is Act 1 of the third Chapter: Subcon Forest.
Mission[]
While traveling through the forest, you will encounter the Snatcher. He needs someone to do his bidding as his old worker is dead. Once Hat Kid signs the contract, the Snatcher will steal her soul and will put her to work, starting by getting rid of the fire spirits that are blocking off parts of his domain. The Snatcher will occasionally appear to have you sign more contracts. Once all the fire spirits are gone, the Time Piece will appear.
Diary Entry[]
After each mission Hat Kid will write in her diary about the last mission. The diary can be found in her room under the swimming pool of pillows.
"Uhh what is this place??? There's spiders and ghosts and a big creepy grinning... person? Thing?? They said they were going to kill me but then made me sign some paper instead? And I think he took my soul or something? Say whaaaaaat?"
